LIFTING YOUR PELVIC FLOOR
Your pelvis is the foundation of your body. When your pelvis is weak, this can lead to lower-back pain and physical instability (creating poor posture). Lifting (squeezing the muscles) in your pelvic floor during exhale creates a strong foundation, making you less susceptible to overprocessing your emotions. It also concentrates the pools of energy of the lower chakras, allowing the sound to penetrate and transform the energy more readily. As this occurs, you will notice a feeling of centeredness and stability begin to surface.
Try it. Take a long inhale (through your nose), and exhale an audible “ah” while lifting the pelvic floor simultaneously. As you lift the pelvic floor (which means you slightly engage or squeeze the muscles you use to go to the bathroom) while making this sound, you are allowing the sound waves to penetrate the pool of energy in the lower chakras (root and sacral). These lower chakras are like little energetic recordings of your energetic history. The root chakra (in the genitals) has been noted to carry your ancestral memories and survival instincts. Once again, you are lifting (squeezing) this area while placing your awareness there. It is the combination of your exhale and lifting the pelvic floor while placing your awareness on these lower energy centers that allows you to increase stability. This makes your body feel protected and safe. Notice this dual action (sound coupled with lifting the pelvic floor) automatically releases your jaw. This is an important part of the emission process, explained as follows.
